We use offset printing as our core print process for this reason:
- Completely solvent free and enhances the recyclability of the material used, from paper to polyolefin films.
- Energy cured inks consume less energy and ink and create a safe environment for the printing process.
- Lower energy consumption than traditional printing methods used in flexible packaging, no need to evaporate solvents, meaning total energy consumption is much lower than other processes such as solvent based flexo and gravure.
- Ultra-low energy consumption and carbon footprint (85% reduction in comparison to some print processes used in the marketplace).
- Energy cured inks and coatings have been demonstrated to be easily de-inked in the recycling process, enabling the substrate used to be much easier to recycle than other printing inks.
- Offset plates are made of aluminium and therefore fully recyclable
- Energy cured inks enable high resistance to scratching, sealing, heat and chemicals, meaning there is no need to use complex laminates to protect the ink. Less layers mean less material and
particularly less unnecessary plastic.
